Isabel Zeman

Hi my name is Isabel Zeman. I grew up in Madison Wisconsin and graduated high school from Vel Phillips Memorial in 2022. I am currently working towards my BS in industrial engineering and a certificate in art studio at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and am planning on using that experience towards achieving a masters in healthcare systems engineering post-grad. At the moment I am doing research with the university's Cognitive Systems Lab studying how persuasive messaging can be used to help drivers of automated vehicles. Additionally, I am busy leading volunteering initiatives as the head community service chair of Theta Tau Xi Chapter; a professional engineering fraternity on campus.

The Arndt family has so graciously given me the ability to explore my interests and achieve my goals without the stress of student debt looming over me. I am so grateful to be able to discover my passions at university without having to make a decision between pursuing my aspirations and financial compromise. I can confidently say that the generosity of the Arndt family has given me a strong desire to give back to others, which is where my passion for volunteering and community service projects was instilled. Currently, I am working closely with the Madison Reading Project on designing a new base for their Little Free Libraries that can be easily transported, is weather-resistant, and can be moved both indoors and outdoors.
